Supervision of Police Personnel by Iannone Changes part 1

Despite being relatively unchanged since its first publishing over 30 years ago, the newest edition of Supervision of Police Personnel by the late Nathan Iannone and his son Marvin has seen some changes as of late.
In chapter 16, Tactical deployment of field forces there is a new section on the ICS model.
From our outline:

ICS new

This system provides a common language for all responding agencies and is a comprehensive model for all aspects of response to large-scale emergencies. Any properly trained officer may initiate ICS and serve as incident commander until relieved by a supervisor or other higher authority.

Although a small section there are a number of questions that could be fashioned from the material.
