Lowell Police Officer Patrick Johnson’s Wake and Funeral Arrangements

The wake for Officer Patrick (PJ) Johnson, who was tragically killed in an off-duty motorcycle accident over the weekend, will be held Wednesday, September 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home located at 106 Middlesex Street in Chelmsford. His funeral will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16 at St. John the Evangelist Church located at 115 Middlesex Street in Chelmsford.

Officer Johnson was a highly respected and beloved member of this department.  His contributions as a patrol officer and gang unit member are well recognized. He will be greatly missed by all his colleagues at the LPD. He is survived by his wife, a three-year old son and an infant daughter. A fund has been set up for this family. John MacLaughlan is Massachusetts licensed attorney as well as a Boston police officer. John is currently assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force (Gang Unit). He is a graduate of the Massachusetts School of Law with a concentration in Labor Law. Prior to becoming a Boston Police Officer, John served for 9 years as a police officer in Lowell, where he was a member of the Police Dive Team and Patrol Rifle Team.
