Criminal Investigations Textbook Changes

For the upcoming October 16th promotional exam: The Criminal Investigations book by Swanson and Territo had seen a massive amount of changes, among them are the chart in chapter 3 outlining “crimes exceptionally cleared” which has a new set of percentages associated with the crimes cleared.

crimes cleared by arrest or exceptional means
murder — 60.7% highest
motor vehicle theft/burglary — 12.6% lowest
arson — 18.0% — new to chart in 9th ed.

Arson was added in the 9th edition which is also noteworthy.
