Lieutenant Fred Leland of Law enforcement security consultants was kind enough to lend his expertise to the Homeland security Network recently. The Homeland Security Network for those who haven’t seen it yet is an outstanding resource for Law Enforcement Personnel looking for information. From their website “Homeland Security Communications is a media and consulting company that combines the best of today’s multi-media revolution with proven, highly-respected and award-winning journalism. Led by the Homeland Security Network ( and Red Team Productions, our wide range of media capabilities focus on providing the best and most cost-effective education and awareness services to the homeland and cyber security communities.”

There are two videos that Fred is featured on prominently. Both are very good and contain a lot of explanation of certain high risk situations and the dynamics involved. From Freds site, the videos are “a collaborative effort of Homeland Security Television and Law Enforcement and Security Consulting, Inc produced a new training video, Are Police Officers Ready For The Next Generation of Active Shooters?

HSTV explores law enforcement’s preparedness for the Next Generation of active shooter threats. Featuring law enforcement training expert, Fred Leland of Law Enforcement Security Consulting Inc., you’ll be surprised by what you learn.”
